Finalists decided in teams championship

Egypt and Pakistan were faultless today as both cruised through their quarter finals matches and will meet in the championship decider tomorrow.
Neither of the finalists dropped a game as they powered out to 2 - 0 in the best of three finals, with neither match going the whole distance. Individual world champion Ramy Ashour set the standard again for the Egyptian squad as he comfortably dealt with Englishman Tom Pashley. Ashour was in high spirits after the match saying that he felt fully fit and comfortable despite 11 days of competition and was looking forward to tomorrows final. "The team is very close and we are all trying to stay focused for tomorrow and support each other".
Pakistan, equally impressive over the entire tournament, had little trouble overcoming Malaysia who appeared jaded from a tough competition schedule. Pakistan will need to rally strongly tomorrow if the want to challenge Egypt and take the World Championship. Malaysia and England will play off for 3rd and 4th positions in what could be the toughest match up of the finals day.
In other news, New Zealand secured their second victory today over Finland, India and Germany will meet to decide 5th and 6th place and Canada plays Hong Kong for 7th and 8th.
