Jul 10, 2006

The 7 strong England squash team arrived at the Palmerston North airport this morning for the PRINCE 2006 World Junior Men’s Squash Championships, receiving a rapturous welcome from their adopted schools and supporters.

Students from Ashhurst school performed a rousing Haka for the team as they entered the terminal, which certainly cheered them up after their 38 hour flight from England. Ashhurst school is just one of 33 local schools who have adopted a team and will be supporting their team throughout the tournament.
